Alana Hammer is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist. She is nationally certified as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl.OM). Alana is also licensed as an Acupuncturist in the state of California where she practiced acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine as a primary care provider. Her passion for healing through traditional Chinese medicine ignited during a six-month sabbatical through South East Asia. At the root of all these traditions is the idea that health is a reflection of a balanced life–that our true purpose is to go beyond mere physical health to achieve harmony between body, mind and spirit.

Alana earned her Masters of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco. Prior to this, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Colorado. Alana has done extensive post-graduate work in women’s health and obstetrics through seminars, workshops and internships. ABOUT NIA HOLISTIC DANCE BASED MOVEMENT
As a certified and licensed NIA instructor, Bethamie creates a space for healing and choosing joy. NIA, or Neuromuscular Integrative Action, is a sensory-based movement practice fusing nine different movement forms from the dance arts, martial arts and the healing arts including yoga. As a cardiovascular exercise, NIA builds flexibility, agility, mobility, strength and stability. It is effective for weight-loss and is known to help many conditions including depression, asthma, diabetes, arthritis and fibromyalgia to name a few.

Bethamie balances the joy, excitement and fun of Nia with its calming, healing components and offers dance classes to women, men and teens of all abilities.

“Nia came into my life as a gift and I am so grateful to be able to share this healing experience others,” she says. An instructor since 2008, Bethamie facilitates Nia classes and workshops that encourage community and connection among class participants. Impressions from her cultural experiences in Senegal, West Africa and Belize, Central America can be felt in her classes through the sounds and rhythms of these musically rich places. Each gathering with Bethamie is a unique experience with a blend of broad influences that allow her to provide a quality education around health and movement wellness while building a rapport with a diverse group of participants. After a class with Bethamie, you are sure to step into your day on the “Nia cloud” – strong and determined yet relaxed and rejuvenated!

ABOUT EMOTION CODE THERAPY & WOMEN’S HEALTH EDUCATION
Bethamie is also a Certified Emotion Code Practitioner. The Emotion Code is a bio-energetic healing technique that frees the body of the weight of trapped emotions. This simple and gentle technique, using kinesiology or muscle-testing, releases years of built-up emotions that are often at the root of many physical ailments and emotional disturbances. Releasing these trapped emotions (with the use of healing magnets) often results in transformational experiences, allowing people to live a life of more clarity and balance, unstuck on their life paths and happier.

Bethamie holds a Master’s Degree in Women’s Studies with a concentration in women’s health education from Eastern Michigan University.  For over a decade, she has provided health education workshops focusing on the physical, social and emotional health of girls and the women in their lives. Through health education and movement, Bethamie creates a supportive and safe environment that allows a space for girls and women to explore their personal growth and development.

Flip Troiano, MD, is a functional integrative medicine practitioner and fellow in the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), a member of the Institute of Functional Medicine and a board certified Emergency Medicine physician. He is one of the founding members of the Wisconsin Institute of Integrative Medicine.

He earned his undergraduate BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin – School of Medicine. He did his internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, where he earned the Dr. Bruno Epstein Achievement award in recognition of Meritorious Service in the care of patients. He finished his second year of Internal Medicine residency and his Emergency Medicine Residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He has practiced Emergency Medicine since 1987, first as faculty in the Section of Trauma and Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, continuing with full time practice of Emergency Medicine for 16 years at St. Luke’s Medical Center and 9 years at Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI.

In the Emergency Department most of his time was spent dealing with the exacerbations of chronic illnesses. Dr. Flip saw ever increasing numbers of younger patients returning to the Emergency Department with worsening exacerbations of heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, chronic fatigue, abdominal pain, chronic immune diseases, and obesity. He became increasingly concerned with the standard practice of medicine which emphasizes the treatment of symptoms but does little to encourage a root cause analysis of the disease process.

“Dr. Flip” is presently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Anti-Aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine.  In the field of functional and integrative medicine he discovered that we already have the science and the ability to diagnose and reverse or significantly alter the course of many of the chronic diseases that are plaguing our society today. Following a thorough evaluation of history, genetic factors, environmental exposures, nutritional status, sleep patterns, stress levels, support systems, exercise habits and laboratory testing an individualized plan of care is developed. These plans integrate lifestyle modifications and relevant, evidence-based science from both traditional and alternative medicine in order to restore and maintain health. Dr. Flip’s goal is to help his patients lead healthy, happy lives filled with boundless energy, restful sleep, increased mobility, less pain and great vitality.

My experience with Ragani still feels like a miracle cure to me.

endometriosis. I can’t even begin to describe what a difference this has made
in my life. Ragani is an exceptional healer who approaches her practice with
incredible knowledge, skill, wisdom and compassion. I am forever grateful.

sessions with Ragani and they went away and have not returned. Her gua sha
treatments have also worked well for me for other pain and circulation problems.
Ragani really takes time to listen to her patients and her holistic approach and
deep knowledge of Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine gets great results for me.”

DR. Negrette is a board certified integrative holistic psychiatrist. Her path to integrative psychiatry began during her residency when she realized that her training in allopathic medicine and treatments was limited in its ability to heal. A close mentor and friend introduced her to holistic approaches in the treatment and maintenance of mental wellness and since then she has been incorporating creativity, movement therapies and psychotherapeutic modalities to heal her patients. As Dr. Negrette is trained and board certified in allopathic psychiatric treatments she understands that traditional medicines may be indicated as part of a person’s treatment plan however she prefers to limit their use, understanding that the body can be, and is, its own healer.

Dr. Negrette is passionate about working with people to reach their full potentials and helping others find their own paths and reconnect to their mental, physical and spiritual selves. In order to fully reconnect with one’s self Dr. Negrette utilizes an integrative approach; healing the mind through creative processes, mindfulness techniques, walk and talk therapy as well as judicious use of pharmacotherapy.

Carl Jung once stated, “Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”
