The Alexander Technique addresses how we hold ourselves upright and how we find balance in activity. How can we discover if our habits are helping or hindering us? The class will explore principles of the Alexander Technique through movement. Wear comfortable clothes. Bring a yoga mat or towel for floor work, a water bottle and anything else needed for your comfort. The class concludes on the floor with a guided constructive rest. Please register in advance. This class will examine patterns which underlie movements used in daily living. Time will be spent practicing strategies for working with movement challenges. The principles of the Alexander Technique, which has been shown to improve balance, posture and walking, will be introduced.
