We will be doing movements with our pelvis, chest, abdomen and shoulders to clarify how we can use these parts to enhance or restrict our spine. We will discover, through slow exploration, where imbalance and excess muscle-use leads to back issues.
We will be doing gentle movements to lengthen the spine and bring awareness to the connection between how we move our arms, chest, spine, belly and pelvis. We will discover through slow exploration how to move with intention, balance and ease. Please bring a mat and any pillows needed for your comfort while lying on your back. Pre-Registration Required
Feldenkrais Workshop-Exploring how we breathe to free the chest & spine
Using intentional breathing we will explore how to “unglue” the lungs and sense how much movement will be clearer in our ribs and spine. This class will provide a greater understanding of our respiratory system, and how the way we breathe can impact our spine.
