NIA-HOLISTIC, HEALING, DANCE-BASED MOVEMENT
Classic NIA is a holistic fitness class combining movement from the dance arts, martial arts and healing arts, including yoga. Anyone can do NIA-it is appropriate for all levels of fitness and agility. Students are encouraged to modify all movements according to their own body’s needs. Movements are simple and leave lots of room for self-expression. Classic NIA is a fun, cardiovascular experience that gives you a new body and a new life.
NIA or Neuromuscular Integrative Action, is a sensory-based movement practice fusing nine different movement forms from the dance arts, martial arts and the healing arts including yoga. As a cardiovascular exercise, Nia builds flexibility, agility, mobility, strength and stability. It is effective for weight-loss and is known to help many conditions including depression, asthma, diabetes, arthritis and fibromyalgia to name a few. Bethamie balances the joy, excitement and fun of Nia with its calming, healing components and offers classes to women, men and teens of all abilities.

Reflexology is an ancient healing practice first documented by Egyptians in the 23rd century B.C., with a wealth of ongoing scientific research beginning in the 20th century.
Gail, a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) completed her Yoga Teacher Training with Sarah Filzen at Kanyakumari Ayurveda & Yoga Wellness Center in Glendale, Wisconsin. She is a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader (CLYL) completing the training at Dr. Kataria School of Laughter Yoga. She is also is certified by The Arthritis Foundation as an Exercise Program Instructor. Laughter and Laughter Yoga provides many proven health benefits, from alleviating anxiety and fears to managing anger and relieving work-related stress.
Gail works with a variety of healing modalities including: Ingham Method™ Foot and Hand Reflexology, Sorensensistem Facial Reflexology, and K.H.T. – Korean Hand Therapy, a type of reflexology. She also has a special affinity for EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), Healing Touch and Crystal Healing. Nearly two dozen scientific studies on the effects of EFT have been published, more than 300 studies on the healing effects of laughter, and more than 2,000 studies on the efficacy of healing touch therapy.

HATHA YOGA CLASSES
Join this popular Yoga class for symmetry, flexibility and tone! This Hatha Yoga class will focus on re-patterning techniques and simple, self-applied methods for releasing restrictions while learning traditional yoga postures that can help enhance health for a lifetime.
Dr. Dale Buegel, MD, E-RYT 500, has practiced and taught hatha yoga and meditation for 35 years in seminars and in his practice of complementary medicine and psychiatry. Contributing author to Yoga International and Himalayan Pathmagazines, he has illuminated such topics as breath mastery and sacred connections of the heart. His expertise in the fine points of yoga techniques and in the use of simple, sequential steps for mastering advanced yoga practices have earned him the respect and appreciation of students in the U.S. and abroad. He is a faculty member for the Kanyakumari school for yoga teachers training and ayurveda in Milwaukee, and he offers specialized programs in other teacher’s training programs in the U.S. and abroad. His weekly classes in Milwaukee focus on the unique integration of self-applied neuromuscular techniques and somatics with yoga disciplines. These classes are open to all levels of experience, and they help students to progress and overcome trouble spots in yoga practice by facilitating symmetry, flexibility, and tone of the musculoskeletal system.
Dr. Buegel owned his practice of integrated homeopathy, nutrition, yoga, and bodywork with his complementary medicine and psychiatry from the 1970’s until 2002. With his expertise in complementary modalities, Dr. Buegel is able to take a wider view of difficult-to-solve health issues. People find his suggestions helpful in the context of lectures, seminars, and wellness consultations under private contract.
