Hello and Welcome to my page!

It brings me so much joy to be able to offer one-on-one sessions and group classes designed to heal and empower people. At the heart of my work is the goal of moving energy through the body for optimal health and well-being. As we are made of energy, our energetic systems require movement and flow in order to function as the body is naturally designed to function. In a state of flow, without the congestion caused by stress and challenging emotions, our bodies can maintain a stable equilibrium or state of homeostasis – the perfect state for the bodies natural healing processes to occur.

I’m Bethamie Wyatt, and I’m an experienced, Certified Emotion Code Practitioner and founder of B’moved Healing Therapies providing emotion release therapy, as well as, Nia holistic dance, Restorative Yoga, Group Meditations, and Self-Care Coaching.

In addition, I hold a Master’s Degree in Women’s Studies with a concentration in women’s health education from Eastern Michigan University.  For over 15 years, I have provided safe and supportive health education workshops focusing on the physical, social and emotional health of women and girls.

About The EMOTION CODE Technique

The Emotion Code is a bio-energetic healing technique that frees the body of the weight of trapped emotions. This simple and gentle technique, using kinesiology or muscle-testing, releases years of built-up emotions that are often at the root of many physical ailments and emotional disturbances. Releasing these trapped emotions (with the use of healing magnets) often results in transformational experiences, allowing people to live a life of more clarity, balance, and flow, unstuck on their life paths and significantly happier and more content.

As a cardiovascular exercise, Nia builds flexibility, agility, mobility, strength and stability. Although the focus of Nia is on finding pleasure in moving and It is an effective practice for weight-loss and many people have shared testimonials reporting the ways it has helped them deal with depression, anxiety, diabetes, arthritis and fibromyalgia to name a few.

In my classes, I balance the joy, excitement and fun of Nia with its calming, healing components. An instructor since 2008, I facilitate Nia classes and workshops that encourage community and connection among class participants. Impressions from my cultural experiences in Senegal, West Africa, Belize, Central America and South Africa can be felt in my classes through the sounds and rhythms of these musically rich places. Each gathering with me is a unique experience with a blend of broad influences that allow me to provide a quality education around health and movement wellness while building a rapport with a diverse group of participants. Flip Troiano, MD, is a functional integrative medicine practitioner and fellow in the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), a member of the Institute of Functional Medicine and a board certified Emergency Medicine physician. He is one of the founding members of the Wisconsin Institute of Integrative Medicine.

He earned his undergraduate BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin – School of Medicine. He did his internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, where he earned the Dr. Bruno Epstein Achievement award in recognition of Meritorious Service in the care of patients. He finished his second year of Internal Medicine residency and his Emergency Medicine Residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He has practiced Emergency Medicine since 1987, first as faculty in the Section of Trauma and Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, continuing with full time practice of Emergency Medicine for 16 years at St. Luke’s Medical Center and 9 years at Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI.

In the Emergency Department most of his time was spent dealing with the exacerbations of chronic illnesses. Dr. Flip saw ever increasing numbers of younger patients returning to the Emergency Department with worsening exacerbations of heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, chronic fatigue, abdominal pain, chronic immune diseases, and obesity. He became increasingly concerned with the standard practice of medicine which emphasizes the treatment of symptoms but does little to encourage a root cause analysis of the disease process.

“Dr. Flip” is presently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Anti-Aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine.  In the field of functional and integrative medicine he discovered that we already have the science and the ability to diagnose and reverse or significantly alter the course of many of the chronic diseases that are plaguing our society today. Following a thorough evaluation of history, genetic factors, environmental exposures, nutritional status, sleep patterns, stress levels, support systems, exercise habits and laboratory testing an individualized plan of care is developed. These plans integrate lifestyle modifications and relevant, evidence-based science from both traditional and alternative medicine in order to restore and maintain health. Dr. Flip’s goal is to help his patients lead healthy, happy lives filled with boundless energy, restful sleep, increased mobility, less pain and great vitality.

Jodi A. Brin is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults. Her therapeutic style is best described as integrative, utilizing the framework that she sees as most helpful to each individual, couple, or family that she works with. She has been trained in a variety of therapy modalities, including play therapy, behavior modification, cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. She has worked with clients and various clinical issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral issues, ADHD, and grief and loss. Dr. Brin has a wonderful ability to connect and empathize with clients, allowing her to use the therapeutic relationship to help her clients move in a positive, healing direction.

Dr. Brin believes that grief and loss experiences greatly affect all of our lives; whether it be a death of a loved one, loss of a pet, separation, divorce, loss of job, a move to a new house, a child moving to college, loss/change in health, etc. Dr. Brin believes that internalized, suppressed grief often leads to physical and mental health issues. After experiencing her own grief and loss, Dr. Brin became increasingly aware of the vast and conflicting emotions associated with grief and was intrigued by the verbal and nonverbal messages she received from others in response to her loss. Looking to explore this further, she found The Grief Recovery Institute and Participated in The Grief Recovery Method® Certification Program. As a certified grief recovery specialist, Dr. Brin helps to provide a safe, supportive environment in which the client can explore old beliefs about dealing with loss, identify what losses have effected one’s life, and help the client to take the steps necessary to complete the pain associated with those losses and move forward. In addition to helping adults, Dr. Brin helps grieving children to understand and express their feelings regarding their loss and helps the parent/ caregiver learn how to best support the child.

Dr. Brin also has a very special interest in psychological oncology. A member of the American Psychological Oncology Association, Dr. Brin works to treat the social, psychological, emotional, spiritual, and quality-of-life issues associated with cancer. Dr. Brin helps the client from the time of diagnosis, during treatment and survivorship, and through end of life issues and bereavement.

Dr. Brin earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Michigan State University, and her master’s and doctorate degrees from Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. She is trained in play therapy, EMDR I and II, and is a certified Grief and Loss Specialist. Dr. Brin is a member of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychosocial Oncology Association.

As a graduate of Blue Sky Professional School of Massage and Bodywork specializing in Medical Therapeutic Massage, Katherine’s work integrates several massage modalities based on an individual’s needs into a session. Continuing education certifications focus on cancer, mastectomy therapy, congestive lymphedema and outcome-based therapies.  Her commitment to assisting people making changes and taking charge of their health life is evident in her style of massage which increases body awareness and movement, reduces stress, improves the immune system, promotes relaxation, and reduces tension.

MODALITIES PRACTICED

Cancer, Mastectomy, and Lymphedema Therapy—
Massage and bodywork cannot cure cancer but it can offer greatly needed relief and enhance quality of life and make a significant contribution to your healing process. Katherine employs many different massage modalities including Congestive Lymphedema Therapy, to safely nurture the body, mind, and spirit of anyone dealing with cancer.

Therapy helps:

Reduce Scar Tissue
Increase Range of Motion and Mobility
Manage lymphedema
Relieve Pain
Reduce Stress
Provide Relaxation and Comfort
Minimize Side Effects of Chemotherapy and Radiation
Boost Immune System
Assist in Lymph, Blood, and Oxygen Flow
Remove Toxins from Body without Liver Overload
Decrease Fatigue

Cranio Sacral Therapy—
Cranial Sacral or Cranio Sacral Therapy (CST) is a hands-on healing practice that works with the central nervous system. Widely used by osteopaths, chiropractors, naturopaths, physiotherapists and massage therapists a light manual touch placed on the body helps to release restricted tissue and assists the body’s return to its natural healing ability. Clients dealing with migraines, headaches, TMJ Syndrome, neck and back pain, emotional issues and depression, chronic muscle and joint pain, as well as, many other conditions will benefit from this therapy. Clients are fully clothed and lie or sit in a comfortable position during this therapy.
Kinesio Taping or K-Taping—
K-Taping is placed on the affected body areas after a bodywork session.  K-tape affects several systems (circulatory/lymphatic, neural, muscular, and fascial, joints) by changing muscle and fascial tone and stimulating and increasing blood and lymphatic fluid flow.  The tape is made from cotton fiber and latex-free hypoallergenic acrylic adhesive that mimics the thickness and weight of skin.  K-Tape differs from athletic taping in that it allows a full range of motion (dependent upon physical condition) and is left on for any period of time needed.  K-Tape is available for purchase in the office. You will be instructed how to apply for your specific issue for use at home between office visits.
Medical or Therapeutic Massage Therapy–
Medical or Therapeutic  Massage Therapy is integrative outcome-based bodywork targeting  specific problem(s).  With your help we evaluate, test, and narrow in on the soft tissue causing the discomfort and plan a course of treatment. The integrative soft tissue modalities used in a session may include any of the following: Cranio Sacral, Medi Cupping, Kinesio Taping, Myofascial, Precision Neuromuscular Therapy, or Positional Release Therapy.  Unlike a spa massage this type of therapy requires your validation as we implement the treatment plan.  However, you should feel relaxed when finished with treatment.  Many conditions are helped with this approach: back and neck pain, chronic pain, sports injuries, pre and post surgery, scar tissue (new or old), arthritis, and many, many more.
Medi Cupping—
MediCupping Therapy is a vacuum therapy that uses plastic cups and a vacuum machine to create suction on the body surface. As the cup moves over the tissue surface, the practitioner uses various techniques to help mobilize joints and release soft tissue. This suction works to mobilize inflammation and toxins (cellular debris) to the lymphatic system for elimination. Adhesions of tissue (muscle, fascia, scar tissue, etc.) are mobilized using cupping enabling increased range of motion thereby decreasing discomfort and pain.  Cupping is used to help reduce the dimpling affect of cellulite.  Many other conditions are helped with MediCupping, such as, arthritis, tendonitis, bursitis, loose skin from weight loss, lymphedema, fibromyalgia, sports injuries, COPD, and more.
Myofascial Therapy—
Myofascial Therapy (MFR) treats the immobility of muscles by relaxing and improving the connective tissue called fascia.  Fascia is an elastic, supportive connective tissue that surrounds most structures in the body.  Like muscles it can become restricted from overuse, trauma, inactivity, etc.   MFR aids in the release of the connective tissue and stimulates the blood and lymphatic circulation to support natural body healing, increase range of motion and reduce associated muscle pain.
Precision Neuromuscular Therapy or PNMT/Positional Release Therapy or PRT—
PNMT and PRT are outcome-based soft tissue manipulation techniques that focus on the evaluation, testing and treatment of the muscles causing the pain.  These techniques require your feedback during treatment to hone in on the areas of concern.  As with the Medical/Therapeutic Massage you should feel relaxed at the end of the session.
Raindrop Therapy/Aromatherapy—
Raindrop Therapy/Aromatherapy is a healing technique using essential oils, reflexology techniques, massage and moist heat to restore the body’s balance and harmony mentally, physically and emotionally. It promotes the structural and electrical alignment of the body for renewed health. It is a detoxifying process that helps to fight bacteria and viruses, while improving the immune system. Raindrop Therapy is very relaxing, and rest is suggested following this one and half hour treatment. Conditions helped by Raindrop Therapy include energy fatigue; depression and emotional issues; arthritis and fibromyalgia, colds and flu, immune system deficiency, body pain and inflammation. Raindrop Therapy serves to detox the body, improves Lymph System circulation, as well as, promotes and restores healthy cells and all over balancing of the body.

Body Centered Psychotherapy
Somatic Experiencing Therapy
Attachment & Relational Trauma Therapy
Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy

Melanie Murray, LPC, SEP, BCST is a psychotherapist that specializes in Somatic Experiencing Therapy. Melanie’s work is influenced by her mature nature as an empath, and intuitive healer. Somatic Experiencing touch work, her studies in Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy, a Masters in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, an apprenticeship with a world class healer, and study at Sufi Spiritual Healing School, have enhanced her natural ability to feel into others physical and emotional experience. This allows for a deep connection to the unconscious and energetic levels of psyche.

Melanie is a mediator, yoga teacher, former professional ballet dancer and professor of dance. The body has been her life-long study. Melanie is a student of Consciousness, “The Work” of Gurdjieff, Advita Vadanta, Christian and Sufi Mysticism, Chakra Energy Healing and Authentic Movement. She remains curious and open to exploring how our energetic/spiritual anatomy and nervous system inter-relate.

“Does your life lack luster? Is there a stream of unease, boredom, anxiety or fear running underneath the surface? Do you find yourself numbing out with sugar, alcohol, shopping or sex?

We are living in an increasingly secularized world. The pressure to achieve success, accrue more material goods and experience sensual pleasures associated with bottomless desires, is at the level of societal addiction. All of this frenzy is rooted in the avoidance of feeling the emptiness, grief and frustration caused by a lack of sacred presence of our soul. We are lacking a connection to the real meaning of sacred purpose in our daily lives, and we experience life as hungry ghosts.

My work is rooted in turning your wiring inside out. It is about embodiment or living from your center, your essential nature or soul. Through the tools of somatic experiencing therapy and biodynamic cranial, I can assist the unwinding of your nervous system, from the automatic hyper-drive setting you are living, to experiencing a sense of well-being and connection to an intimate and purposeful life.

I use psychotherapy, as well as, touch skills to facilitate a body-centered process of healing. This is a multi-dimensional process of unlayering the disturbances that keep you separate from your true nature. One layer is that of Coming out of the noise of the mind by learning to orient to your inner world of sensation, intuition and feeling. Another layer is softening your defenses and habitual ways of avoiding the fears and beliefs that have gotten you this wound up and numbered out. There may be layers of trauma that create anxiety that you fear unleashing in rage or a panic attack. All of these layers keep you from feeling really alive and available for true vulnerability and intimacy. A life of grace that we are wired to live but need help accessing.

As an empath I can tune in to places in your body where blocked energy is inhibiting your access to love. After all, love is what we are here to experience, both for ourselves, others and our home, the universe. Love is the evolutional force of our existence.

I have assisted hundreds of clients in the process of unwinding the layers of personality identities and defenses, energetic toxic loads that create illness, and trauma that inhibits life from being expressed in its full magnificent preciousness.

I guarantee at the core of your being is goodness and your body has the fuel you need to heal.

Nicole L. Bickham, PhD, LMT, is a psychotherapist with a passion for body-mind healing. Her therapeutic style is collaborative, engaging, and integrative. Nicole operates from the belief that we begin life in a state of wholeness, and are innately oriented toward growth, but inevitably encounter experiences such as physical or emotional stress or trauma, or simply not getting our needs adequately met, that divert the natural process of development. While our human adaptability affords us ways of coping with these circumstances that work for us initially, these strategies may become restrictive later, limiting our growth and resulting in tension and anxiety, a sense of not “showing up” fully in one’s life and relationships, and mood difficulties.

Outdated patterns of thinking, behaving, and relating often occur automatically, below the level of conscious awareness, making them particularly challenging to access with traditional talk-based therapeutic approaches. The body-based, experiential techniques she incorporates are uniquely suited to accessing the “stories” held in the body so that challenging patterns can unfold and shift. She views her role as one of creating supportive and accepting space in which clients can cultivate inner resilience, rediscover their innate wholeness, and restore a sense of clarity and purpose.

Nicole received a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Syracuse University in 2002 and later studied somatic therapy, bodywork, and inner awareness practices. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and is a Wisconsin licensed Bodywork Therapist.
